Summary

Search Specialist

 

The Search Specialist plays an integral role in execution of the paid search channel in outlining effective strategy and techniques for accounts, as well as implementing the paid search discipline, in addition to presenting recommendations and strategy to client. The Search Specialist will report into the Search Supervisor.  This role requires a strong understanding of paid search, as well as of all aspects of performance marketing, and Search Engine Optimization (SEO) to effectively drive day-to-day tactical execution of the campaigns and continually exceed client expectations. To be successful in this position, an individual must be able to shift focus to different types of projects, a quick learner, and proficient with Excel and be able to work productively with various team members with minimal supervision.

Position Summary

 

The Search Specialist plays an integral role in execution of the paid search channel in outlining effective strategy and techniques for accounts, as well as implementing the paid search discipline, in addition to presenting recommendations and strategy to client. The Search Specialist will report into the Search Supervisor.  This role requires a strong understanding of paid search, as well as of all aspects of performance marketing, and Search Engine Optimization (SEO) to effectively drive day-to-day tactical execution of the campaigns and continually exceed client expectations. Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

 

Drive day-to-day tactical execution of the campaigns based on client expectations

  • Utilize paid search accounts to enhance SEM campaigns
  • Create advanced SEM/SEO strategies based on web site analytics and campaign data
  • Evaluate product offering, traffic, landing page quality, content, design, security, payment options, shipping options, demographics of prospective customers when determining keywords and campaigns

Develop campaign strategy (with supervision) to guide initiatives that will accomplish client’s campaign goals

 

Create campaign reports and present to client on a regular basis

  • Review and analyze client’s sites for areas that need to improved, deleted, or revised
  • Review and analyze client’s paid search campaigns for improvements in key performance indicators such as cost per click
  • Prepare detailed strategy reports

Minimum Qualifications

Education Level: (Required): Bachelor's Degreeor equivalent exper

                        

Field of Study/Area of Experience:

1-3 years of experience in Display Media, SEO, Affiliates, Feeds, Mobile, Social and Attribution

 

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

  • Ability to work autonomously and demonstrate self-started qualities and to research PPC issues and formulate tangible solutions
  • Successfully fulfill the client’s strategy by creating clear deliverables and recommendations
  • Mastered understanding of reported metrics and what they mean
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, under tight deadlines
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects, drive hard to completion, and deliver effective results
  • A working understanding of Display Media, SEO, Affiliates, Feeds, Mobile, Social and Attribution
  • Experience with Paid Search Platforms like Marin, DS3, Certification a plus
  • Google Certification (Fundamentals), Analytics and Adwords Certification
  • Advanced computer skills, proven proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint

Office / Sedentary Requirements

Incumbent must be able to perform the essential functions of the job.  Work is performed primarily in an office environment. Typically requires the ability to sit for extended periods of time (66%+ each day), ability to hear the telephone, ability to enter data on a computer and may also require the ability to lift up to 10 pounds.  A detailed Environmental and Physical Requirements document is available in the Total Rewards department.
